Galleries Kennedy Airport was reopened Sunday morning after it was closed temporarily to allow crews to salt and sand in the wake of an incident in which a small jet slid off the runway, the Port Authority said. The airport was reopened shortly before 10:30 a.m. Sunday, and flight delays were under 15 minutes, according to the Federal Aviation Administration's website.
